Held at the Metropolitan Museum of Design Detroit, the event was free and open to guests, offering a chance to connect more deeply with Italian heritage, language, and identity.

The evening featured a presentation and book signing by Daniela D’Amico Henderson of La Masseria. The novel was introduced in Italian and English to ensure accessibility for a diverse audience. Attendees discovered the book’s rich Italian roots and cultural resonance while learning about Henderson’s journey. Raised amid the Roman countryside’s beauty and now a resident of Detroit, Henderson weaves her experiences as a teacher, traveler, and dedicated volunteer at the Dante Alighieri Society of Michigan as vice president into her writing, enlivening her narratives with authenticity and cultural insight.
