On the occasion of the Week of the Italian Language in the World 2023, our headquarters selected and awarded the video created by the students of Grand Valley State University. This achievement reflects their commitment and passion for the Italian language and culture.
We congratulate with the students for their excellent work: Taurean Allen, Nicole D’Arienzo, and Domenico Ferrazzo, who, under the guidance of teacher Gisella Licari, collaborated to create a VLOG, consistently demonstrated dedication and creativity. They have completed the Italian Language and Culture 201 course and will continue with the 202 course. Their contribution enriches our community and inspires other students to explore and appreciate the beauty of the Italian language.
A special thank you for the hospitality goes to Janel Pettes Guikema, Professor of French and second Language Acquisition and Chair of the Department of Modern Languages & Literatures, and David Shultz, Director of the Language Resource Center at Grand Valley State University.
The organization of events for the Week of the Italian Language in the World is certainly a group effort made possible by the commitment of the teachers from Wayne State University, Michigan State University, University of Michigan, and Grand Valley State University, in collaboration with the Consulate of Italy in Detroit. Great Teamwork!
