The female figure has always been an object and a subject in art. The representation of women evolves over the centuries along with the evolution of history, different cultures and artistic techniques. The female body is analyzed and used in many facets: the woman as a deity, a symbol of fruitfulness, a mother, a sinner, a saint, a lover, an inspiring muse …
For artists, the female is a form that serves – from time to time – to express ideas and concepts, something soft and moldable at will to develop an idea, to teach, to indicate a path or transmit an emotion. From Prehistory to contemporary artists, our presentation has the ambition to accompany you on a quick artistic journey to observe a fascinating and difficult, sinuous and discontinuous path of the female figure in art.
La donna da sempre è oggetto e soggetto nell’arte, la sua raffigurazione evolve nel corso dei secoli seguendo l’evoluzione della storia, delle diverse culture e delle tecniche artistiche. Questo corpo femminile viene analizzato e utilizzato in tutte le sue molteplici sfaccettature : donna come divinità, simbolo di fecondità, madre, peccatrice, santa, amante, musa ispiratrice…
Per gli artisti la donna è forma che serve di volta in volta ad esprimere idee e concetti, qualcosa di morbido e modellabile a piacimento per sviluppare un’idea, per insegnare, per indicare un percorso o trasmettere una emozione.
Dalla Preistoria agli artisti contemporanei, questa nostra conferenza ha l’ambizione di accompagnarvi in un veloce viaggio artistico per osservare un percorso affascinante e difficile, sinuoso e discontinuo della figura femminile nell’arte.
