For the children in our L1, L2, and Pre-AP classes, the teachers organized a joyful Christmas-themed day filled with play, learning, and togetherness. The morning began with a variety of age-appropriate activities designed to spark curiosity and fun, including riddles, puzzles, “find the differences,” mazes, Christmas Sudoku, hidden holiday objects, crosswords, and rebus puzzles. These games introduced and reinforced Christmas vocabulary in engaging, playful ways.
The highlight of the day was playing tombola, the traditional Italian version of bingo, which was enjoyed by all the children together. One of the most beloved Christmas games in Italy, tombola offered the children a meaningful way to experience an Italian holiday tradition while also practicing numbers in Italian. Laughter, excitement, and cheering filled the room as numbers were called and cards were marked.
The prizes were symbolic and shared among teachers and children, emphasizing the spirit of community and celebration. It was a wonderful day of fun, learning, and Italian holiday traditions—one that perfectly captured the joy of the season.
