www.instagram.com/dantemichiganMy name is Laura Borroni-Bird, and I was born in Milan, Italy. I graduated Magna cum Laude from the Catholic University of Milan with a Master Degree in Foreign Modern Languages and Literatures.
Soon after, I moved to England and Japan, where I taught Italian and English.
I arrived in Michigan with my husband and started teaching children and adult Italian classes. I acquired the Michigan Teaching Certification and took on an adjunct Professor position at Oakland Community College and Schoolcraft College, where I teach Italian and Spanish.
I have been working for Dante Alighieri for the past 10 years, and I enjoy using Italian music, art, and literature to teach the language and to bring to life the culture in my in-person courses. Join me in this wonderful adventure to learn a beautiful language and discover a fascinating culture.
