Ciao, I’m Daniela D’Amico Henderson, one of the Italian teachers for the Dante Alighieri Society. I was born and raised in the beautiful Castelli Romani area near Rome. I moved to Michigan in the year 2000 with my husband. I have a Magistrale degree from Italy and a Science of Education degree from the States. I work as a substitute teacher for Detroit Country Day School, a local university prep school; this allows me to be constant update with the methods of teaching. I love learning and teaching; I have been a teacher for the DAS for almost 15 years. I recently became a PLIDA-certified interviewer, and I do prepare students for this language exam as well. I am the oldest member of the Dante Alighieri Society Board; the Society keeps me engaged with Italy and the Italian community.
