Italy Loves Detroit Detroit Loves Italy

LoveItDetroit is an initiative with which the Consulate of Italy in Detroit and the Dante Alighieri Society of Michigan cooperated during the entire month of September 2022 and 2023 in the traditional “Detroit Month of Design,” magnifying the excellence of Italian design through a physical installation with objects from Italian companies, in-person events, Italian and local guests and speakers, and a presence in the metaverse with a dedicated virtual exhibition.

This cooperation continued with a few Cultural and Networking events and the outstanding Restauration Project or Dante Alighieri, a gift to the City of Detroit that symbolized our shared friendship and resilience.

September 2022 marked the start of the highly anticipated and first-ever collaboration between the Consulate of Italy, in partnership with the Dante Alighieri Society of Michigan, and the Detroit Month of Design – a 30-day exhibition filling one glorious space in the heart of downtown at 1001 Woodward Avenue.
