Organized under the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic by the Consulate of Italy in Detroit, the Dante Alighieri Society of Michigan, in collaboration with the IACL Charitable Foundation.

Riccardo Gualdo is a full professor of Italian Linguistics at the University of Tuscia. He is a member of the Accademia dell’Arcadia and the Association for the History of the Italian Language. He was president of the Italian Association for Terminology and was part of the scientific coordination of the Network of Excellence for Institutional Italian. He collaborated in drafting the Treccani Vocabulary of the Italian language, directed by Aldo Duro, and in the Mondadori edition of the Poets of the Sicilian School. He studied the Italian scientific language of the first centuries and the contemporary age. He published numerous studies on the influence of English on Italian and the modern language of science, politics, law, journalism, and advertising.
