Italy is the birthplace of opera and continues to dominate the genre. Thanks to a collaboration with the Detroit Opera House, the Consulate of Italy in Detroit, and the Dante Alighieri Society of Michigan, the very talented Resident Artists of the DOH will perform some of the most well-known arias from world-renowned Italian composers.

The Resident Artists performing, whom you might have seen recently in La Traviata at the Detroit Opera House, are Tenor River Guard (with the role of Gastone in Traviata and with the upcoming role at the Florentine Opera: Summer Studio Ensemble Artist), Soprano Brianna J. Robinson (Annina in Traviata, also covering for Violetta, and featured soloist in upcoming performances at both Boston Lyric Opera and Boston Landmarks Opera); Baritone Cole Bellamy (the role of Baron in Traviata and with forthcoming roles in the Santa Fe Opera); and Mezzo-soprano Kendra Faith Beasley (role of Flora in Traviata, and upcoming performances at the Des Moines Metro Opera).
