Arriving in New York City in 1889, Italian immigrant Francesca Cabrini is met with disease, crime, and impoverished children. Undeterred, she embarks on a bold mission to persuade the mayor to provide housing and health care for society’s most vulnerable. Despite language barriers and fragile health, Cabrini’s entrepreneurial spirit drives her to build an unprecedented empire of hope that changes the world.
