La Settimana della Lingua italiana nel mondo si tiene ogni anno nella terza settimana di ottobre. Organizzata dalla rete diplomatico-consolare e degli Istituti Italiani di Cultura in collaborazione con i nostri principali partner della promozione linguistica (MiC, MIM, MUR, CePeLL, Governo della Confederazione Elvetica, Accademia della Crusca, CGIE, Comunità Radiotelevisiva Italofona, Istituto dell’Enciclopedia Italiana Treccani, RAI Italia e Società Dante Alighieri), la Settimana è divenuta nel tempo la più importante rassegna su scala globale dedicata alla nostra lingua. Sin dalla sua istituzione nel 2001, questo appuntamento ha ricevuto annualmente l’Alto Patronato della Presidenza della Repubblica.
Ogni Settimana è dedicata a un tema diverso, che serve da filo conduttore per un ricco programma di conferenze, mostre e incontri.

“Lingua geniale: ideare, progettare, creare con l’italiano”
Contribuire a “plasmare un’immagine dinamica e proiettata in avanti del nostro Paese, che attraverso la sua lingua “geniale” – erede di una lunga e ricca storia e tradizione – esporta nel mondo il meglio del proprio sapere fare, costituito da tecnologia, scienza, ingegneria, design, moda, gastronomia, letteratura, arte e storia.”

The Week of the Italian Language in the World is held every year during the third week of October. Organized by the diplomatic-consular network and the Italian Cultural Institutes in collaboration with our main partners in language promotion (MiC, MIM, MUR, CePeLL, the Government of the Swiss Confederation, the Accademia della Crusca, CGIE, the Italian-language Radio and Television Community, the Treccani Italian Encyclopedia Institute, RAI Italia, and the Dante Alighieri Society), the Week has, over time, become the most important global event dedicated to our language. Since its establishment in 2001, this initiative has annually received the High Patronage of the President of the Republic.
Each edition is dedicated to a different theme, which serves as the guiding thread for a rich program of conferences, exhibitions, and meetings.
