Italiano lingua primaria/Italian for Native Speakers and Advanced and Italian Second Language
The Italian language for native speakers (L1) is a course designed to maintain and enhance existing Italian language fluency skills that students possess through the study of grammar, composition, culture, history, and general language exercises. Students will receive a certificate of participation. All ages from 5 to 16 are welcome.
Il corso è rivolto a bambini di origine italiana la cui lingua primaria è l’italiano e/o bambini che hanno frequentato la scuola in Italia. Il corso comprende lezioni d’italiano, grammatica, storia e cultura italiane. Gli studenti, alla fine del corso completato con successo, riceveranno un certificato di partecipazione.

Following the closures for COVID-19, we have a lot to consider to safely bring students back this year.
1: Limiting the number of students present in class.
2: Full capacity but limiting number of activities to allow for continued social distancing.
3: Near full capacity and full operations but with continued vigilance in health and safety best practices.
June 12, DAS of Michigan will begin its phased reopening plan. Masks and social distancing are required.
The start date of group classes onsite is still to be determined.
Education and Public programs are being evaluated on a case by case basis.
Available DAS public programs are currently resumed virtually.
