Italian American Club of Livonia Charitable Foundation 2020 VoluntarItaly Contribution
VoluntarItaly is a summer camp organized by the Dante Alighieri Society of Michigan and Lombardy Dioceses. It offers opportunity to youth between 18-25, born in USA, US resident to spend 3-6 weeks in Lombardia as volunteers for improving the knowledge of Italian and be counselors to kids between the age 6-14 during the summer camp activities. The candidates must pay their airline tickets from U.S.A. to Italy.
With the understanding that the purpose of VoluntarItaly complies to the mission of the IACL Charitable Foundation in promoting Italian language and culture, the Foundation will provide financial assistance up to $2,500 for travel expenses sustained by selected 5 (five) candidates for attending the 2021 VoluntarItaly Program.
The pre-requisites to be eligible are as follows:
1. Be a resident of Michigan2. Be of Italian descent3. Be a selected candidate by Dante Alighieri Society
The Foundation, by using a lottery method, will extract the names of 5 candidates from the list presented by the Dante Alighieri Society.Each winner will receive a check in his/her name from the Foundation in the amount of $500 after the successful completion of the program, as a partial refund for the cost of the airline ticket.
