Our Cultural and Education Committees are working hard reimagining our next 2020 Virtual Classes.
We may not be able to be physically together this year, but like every class to be special.

Italy will celebrate the “Father of the Italian language” in 2021, marking the 700th anniversary of the death of the mediaeval poet and philosopher Dante Alighieri.

Please join us for this first cycle of cultural and exiting classes.

Five-lesson course where you will discover the power of stories, recipes, and cities of Italy.

1- FIRENZE (Florence): Language and cuisine birth place
2- LA SICILIA: (Sicily) Culinary and literary influences
3- RAVENNA: Hell and Paradise, even at the table.
4-LA LUNIGIANA: From the Malaspina between diplomacy and salami
5- NAPOLI: (Naples) Between anecdotes and reality

In each lesson, with a path full of images and motivation, we will discover a city linked to the Sommo Poeta and we will study the medieval cuisine of the era, the authentic sources, the modern medieval festivals, the literary, historical and cultural context.
For each session, we will also provide a recipe that can be reproduced at home and a list of useful Italian phrases /words.

Anna LANZANI, is an Italian food scholar, with a strong background in humanities and over 15 years of experience in international food companies. Anna is an active member of the Accademia Italiana della Cucina and a food writer. She has lived, worked and studied in the US, UK, France, Japan, China, Australia, and Argentina.
A passionate entrepreneur and consultant, Anna teaches History of Italian Gastronomy at the University of Buenos Aires CUI, and contributes to international conferences.
